Voluntary Schemes recognised for forest biomass

The following schemes have been recognised by the European Commission for the requirements for forest biomass in Article 29(6) and 29(7) of the revised Directive (EU) 2018/2001.

  • International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC EU)
  • KZR INiG system
  • Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC)
  • Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB)
  • Sustainable Resources (SURE) voluntary scheme
